As an Iranian photographer in exile, I wanted to illustrate the gesture of support (cutting a lock of hair) made by women around the world for Iranian people ( especially the women ) protesting the oppressive regime during the movement sparked by the death of a young girl in Iran in September 2022. who was killed by the regime for not wearing the appropriate hijab ( hair covering ).
